So there I was in Bangkok at some large outdoor restaurant one evening last year having dinner with Mr. Phillip. My girl friend had made arrangements for us to meet to discuss “face lifts” for me. He had one done and was very pleased with his face. That’s another story. Well he started salivating and rambling on and on about this restaurant in Pattaya called The White Knight and how he always eat there every time he was in Pattaya and would eat there every evening and how good the food tastes and on and on and on. So I thought, how good could the food be? Food is food. Right…? Well, my friends I was wrong again. I put off going to the White Knight for awhile for one reason or another until last night and what a culinary delight I have found. It is a buffet with European and Thai dishes specialising in pastries and sweets. It is a blend of food, flowers art and style. The décor is blue and white and appears clean and neat. There are 20 tables with blue and white table cloth and blue and white dishes. The tables accommodate parties of 2 or 4 people. The music is quiet and gentle. There is artwork on the walls for sale. The staff are dressed in smart and stylish uniform. The service starts with a cold towel to cleanse the hands before one dines. The buffet consists of a different selection every night for 14 nights. There is always a choice of soup, a main European dish, potatoes, quiche and pie. The pie is a small meal into it self as opposed to a sweet. The sweets are another culinary delightful selection. Drinks include beer, juices, soft drinks, wine and spirits. I noticed the patronage consisted of both Thai and falang enjoying this culinary collection. They open at 7pm and close at mid-night. All of this fabulous tasting food in a wonderful setting, followed by a special complimentary surprise at the end of the dinner for under $200 Baht. Well, my friends Mr. Phillip was right. This is a great place to dine but I’m not going to tell where it is, because it is so good, if every one knows where it is I’ll never get into dine!….HA HA HA Well maybe if they decide to advertise in the Pattaya INFO we’ll tell you… Ha Ha Ha!
