Grounds for Divorce
1. Adultry but it is hard to prove and document in court. You need lots of pictures and they
better be good and explicit.
2. Misconduct as in losing face. Again it is hard to prove and document in court.
3. Physical harm and/or mental torture like in insults or public slander.
4. Desertion but it must be over one year and has to be proven and documented in court.
5. Disappearance or seperation but it has to be for three years and proven or documented in
court.
6. Improper maintenance or support.
7. Insane prove it and document it for three years.
8. Get a written statement of a broken agreement of marriage.
9. Uncurable disease as in Hiv/Aids or cancer or what have you.
10. Physically unable to have sex might have to prove it and document it in court.
Ok! Ok! I’m not a lawyer and not even close. I heard this at the expats club meeting a few weeks ago from a Thai lawyer named Wichi Pannoi. He is well know in Bangkok and Pattaya and has an office on Soi 5, across the street from the Hard Rock hotel. The sign that hangs over his office is “Victor Law and Detective Agency” He is the expert. Call him if you have questions about your live-in girl friend and what she gets if you separate or any other questions about “relationships”. 01-914-0516
