You will be able to tell immediately that “The Sportsman Pub” is no second class joint because of the stylish exterior. This is a first class English pub. My wife loves it. I love it because it is air-conditioned and has the best food in Pattaya. I know the food is good because the owners have 26 years of experience and “The Sportsman Pub and Restaurant” is a member of “door to Door” catering services that is booming because the food is very, very good. Call “Door to Door” at 038 720 222 and they will deliver the 2005 edition of the menus from 20 or more of the most popular restaurants in Pattaya, which includes my favorite, “The Sportsman Pub and Restaurant.” Try it. You’ll love it.
My Thai wife loves their Thai food too because it is very clean and they are generous with the meat. I love the food because the will deliver to my condo. Call them. Tel: 038 710-609 What ever you want to eat, they probably will have on the menu. Oh! Yes! One other important thing to know is that the restaurant is open until 1:30 AM. So, after a night of exploring Pattaya you can pop into “The Sportsman Pub and Restaurant” for breakfast. Yes, that’s right. They serve breakfast at all hours. My wife and I like to eat a small breakfast after a fun night in order to soak up some of the alcohol which seems to put off any hang over and the food gives me energy too.
Now read this. Every Sunday starting at 12:30 the “Sportsman Restaurant” has the best carvery in all of Southeast Asia. It is so popular that you should get there early because they will get crowded and all the food is gone. It’s very, very good and very high quality. That is the reason it is so popular.
And speaking of warm beer, “The Sportsman Pub” takes pride in the fact that they serve ice-cold beer. There is nothing more satisfying then an ice-cold beer on a hot and humid day. Wow! It is so good.
The good times start every day at 11am to 6pm for Happy Hour. This is your chance to meet the expats of Pattaya. The are a fun and friendly, sober and sane group of people and they are always looking to meet new people from around the world. They are helpful and considerate. Thursday evening is “Quiz Nite.” This is a perfect time to watch, listen, learn and meet the people. It’s an education and lots of laughs.
Another great thing about “The Sportsman Pub” is that they have a “Free” pool table and it is a genuine international competition slate pool table. I want you to join the Monday pool league. Show me what you got and maybe learn a few tricks from the Monday pool league players too. And then when you get really good or just feel lucky, you must enter the Sunday pool competitions. There is a 6,000 Baht “pot the lot” pool challenge. Maybe, you will want to watch the action and experience the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Even if you don’t play pool, it is fun and exciting watching the action and experiencing the excitement of the crowd. My Thai wife loves it, even though she has never played the game.
And speaking of fun and excitement, you got to be at “The Sportsman Pub” when there is a sporting event on the “53” inch big screen TV. The crowd cheers the victories and groans at the losses. There is something about watching an international sporting event with a crowd of people that is better than watching TV at home alone.
And you have got to meet the new entertainment manager. There are all kinds of events for you. My wife loves going on the fishing trips and I love the golf expeditions. We save money and always have a great time with the new people at “The Sportsman Pub”.
“The Sportsman Pub and Restaurant” was establish in 1997 and remodeled in 2001 and more air conditioners and other upgrades or changes to the décor have been added in the last couple of months too. They always seem to be improving the little things. I love the attention to detail. The staff is young and beautiful, fun and friendly. They are always smiling and they really take care of my wife and me. Come join us.
I’ve never been to England or Europe but this Pub is what it must be like in England. It’s all about family and friends, fun and food.
